Not sure what you're referring to, but TVs do have an issue with size and resolution. For instance, a "general" rule of thumb is that you'll want to get a 1080p TV for TVs 42" and greater (smaller sizes will not be able to tell much of a difference between 720p and 1080p). The concept, in layman's terms, is that the pixels on a small display get larger when going to a larger display given a constant resolution. Therefore, the noticeable detail to the naked eye can become more pronounced on larger displays unless the resolution is also increased.
