Signal booster, not air rave

Has any one tried the wilson signal booster(best buy) or any other kind with the epic touch ? I love the phone but it doesn't get as good a signal as my evo, trying out the photon right now and it is on par with the signal on the evo.. But I can't stand the photon after having the epic touch. Air rave is out of the question at work because of the security proxies on the net.

I'm having the same problem with reception! I have an Air Rave at my house - it does help boost my signal, but for some reason I can't send any text messages when its turned on?? I too am looking for a better way to boost my signal. My husband has the MoPho and he always has great signal at the house, but I really don't want to have to switch to that phone! I love my Epic Touch!

Are you really sure the Photon has a stronger signal or are you assuming that simply based upon the # of bars????

Look at the actual signal strength side by side in dBm and see if you really have what you are calling a weaker signal.

Does the dBm number mean the same thing for 3g/phone and wifi radio signal?
for SURE, the EVO has a better radio.

Yeah Im checking dBm on the photon and the Evo and it is better then the Epic Touch. Also checking dl and upload speeds with speedtest.net and it confirms the Epic touch is a bit weak. Once you get in a strong signal area though the Epic touch is just as equal with the others, its just were there is a weak signal it struggles... With so many people having signal issues I cant believe someone hasnt tried one of these signal boosters??!!! Anyone??!! There at your local best buy and I believe RAdio Shack has them as well
