don't do Verizon edge. it's a rip off. buy the phone outright and use the installment plan to spread payment over 2 years.

Well, it seemed like a good deal when the Verizon person I spoke with on the phone told me I could upgrade without turning in my current phone. She said as long as I did the transaction over the phone, I didn't have to turn it in. I guess she didn't know what she was talking about because the guy I talked to today told me that was impossible. I might as well buy a slightly used phone on eBay and sell my Ultra and put it towards the cost of the used phone.
I think I'm just going to do that from now on. I love the great coverage I get with Verizon, but I miss the low price of Straight Talk. I forgot how much I hate being locked into a contract.
