Anyone else experiencing this? It will go from full bars and 3g to nothing and 1x speed. Then back to a few etc all very quick. I love the phone but this just wont work. I want to exchange it but they are sold out. Oh and half the time wifi won't connect. Any help would be appreciated, this is my first android since using a bb and iToy.

I have had very minor problems similar to what you're having, but I have never had a great signal indoors.

That said, I have had to restart the phone two or three times now because data refused to go in or out of the phone. Don't know if you're experiencing anything like that.

Hopefully they have some for an exchange, I don't feel like dealing with the backorder bs when it is almost unusable.

yep my data randomly stops along with the huge signal drops. it's definitely a pain in the...i'm really hoping they have stock at my place so I can go home with a new one.

If you guys haven't already done so, try a factory reset. I had a bunch of wonkiness on day 1, and a factory reset, for whatever reason, fixed all of it.

I assume that also clears all of your data and apps?

Thanks for the info!

I didn't have any issues with dropped connections until I put the invisible sheild on the backside. Even wifi was down to two bars while sitting about 10 feet away from my router. Pulled off the sheild and all good again. Very weird.

yeah, my 3g has been wonky. Factory reset...ugg. I just came from Winmo and was hoping to avoid that stuff from now on.

It will clear your apps and settings. Meaning you will have to reload them after the reset. That said, I notice the same behavior at times. It will get stuck in 1X and the data arrows will be solid black, meaning it is constantly transferring data. A short while later the phone will get hot. In order to kill the session and get it back to 3G, I have to put it in airplane mode, then turn it back on again. I hadn't noticed this happening prior to today, because until now I've been using WiFi mostly. This could cause me to go back to the Incredible if not fixed.

Yeah Cory, when mine does that it gets VERY hot as well. I am going to try to get a replacement if that is even possible.

Seriously though, i have been getting disconnected from wifi like crazy, and have to turn on airplane mode then turn it back off to restore service. Not sure what's causing this, hope it gets fixed soon.

I have the wifi issue too, I have to restart the phone to get it back up sometimes. Also just noticed, a lot of times the lights on my buttons go out, to get it back I have to change the brightness settings up then back down again.
