okay i just had a few questions about the modem
i was with someone who owned an evo for 8 hours. both of us in the same rooms.
i was losing 10% every 45 min and i was amazed. I guessed it was because of the bad signal.
I checked the time without signal and it was 66% but on my friends evo it was 14%.
I am hundred percent sure i toggled out of airplane mode (i did it twice just to be safe)
could this be my epic or is this a issue that many have experienced?

Stock EC05 still has the TWS (Time without signal) bug. I guess its very possible you were without signal for a great deal of time but I'm sure the bug came into play a lot too...
