SIII Sprint 4G LTE Speed

No pointing out LTE speeds with Verizon. I have a friend that the most he gets is 16 down and he lives in KC with sprint. I have heard that Sprint sets a limit on download speeds can anyone confirm?

I'm sorry if you don't want to compare the speeds I myself was thinking of going with Sprint. I found that all I can do is roam in my area and Verizon has LTE now where I live. I do have to pay more than if I was on sprint and I'm sure my situation is not the same for all. I was hoping to find speeds the same as what AT&T and Verizon is getting but have found that with my friend that is not the case.

I also have a galaxy nexus I use also but it's at Samsung getting fixed for the second time for the SIM card reader not working.

False bro. Sprint doesn't throttle period. Your speeds vary depending on various situations. I'm in Chicago and the highest I've seen is almost 40mb at night.

This has been said before, Sprint's LTE is on 5 mhz carrier, Verizon is using a 10 mhz carrier, speeds will be different on the maximum you can get. If they were using the same channel width then you can compare it to each other.

Compare? Who said anything about comparing in this thread? This thread was for us with Sprint LTE to post our speeds.. We don't want to compare others as we want to see what we are all getting on LTE for Sprint around the country.

So no.. We don't want to compare. That's cool you went to Verizon due to roaming on Sprint... No one blames you. But just don't post speedtests for LTE on Verizon in a Sprint thread when the original poster wants us all to compare our Sprint speeds.. That's why he posted here. We don't go post our speeds in the Verizon section or ATT one.. Because... They would do the same. Wonder why are we posting speed tests for different carriers in their carriers section.

Just got my s3 and what do you know. I get 4g lte in most areas in Jax now. Tech guy in the store said it just rolled out in early March here. Worth the wait. Almost got rid of sprint too. All good!

Yeah it's becoming more widespread in Jacksonville. I got these on Baymeadows.

We aren't officially launched so it's still sort of spotty.. But at least we know with each day passing they are building it out more and more .

it switches from 4g to 3g on and off. it was 4g when I did the test then 3g afterwards.
