Silence notification or ring without unlock.

Basically, i work in a loud environment, I have loud ringtones, and loud notification sounds.

If I walk into the office areas, and a notification goes off, (sms) I have to retrieve the phone from my pocket, unlock it, and pull the bar down to shut it off.
On my Razr Maxx, I could press the power button while still in my pocket and it would silence.
Is there a way to do this on the Turbo??

Press and hold the power button, and you'll get a screen that will let you change to vibrate, silence, or airplane.

If you press the power button or the volume buttons the phone will indeed stop making noise for that call or notification. I believe that's what you were asking.

It silences ringtones, but not notification tones.
