silent mode problem

[Android Central Question]

i am with new note 10+ . when i go to sleep i put my phone on silent mode (pressing 2 times on the speaker icon) when i wake up i push again on the speaker . all sound returnning to full volume except the notification sound stays on zero and i have to slide it manualy every morning . is anybody knows the answer ? thank you

I have an app called silent sleep which allows me to schedule times when my phone is silent.

Do not disturb works like a charm. I leave my favorite contacts and alarm, so no one or nothing else alerts. I set it from 930 pm to 730 am. No need to silence your phone every night.

It happens to me as well when I do it manually, but when my tasker profile kicks in it does it correctly.

Do not disturb doesn't work well for me because I'm in call for work and different operators call from different numbers and the staff changes schedules and we're always getting new people in ops.

I think I might have found your issue
Long press the speaker in notifications panel see if temp silent is toggled on by accident

i tried it already . i tried everything . i put a screen shot . my phone is in Hebrew so the first slider is ring, the second slider is media , the third slider is notification , the fourth slider is system and the fifth slider is bixby . when i wake up in the morning and take out my phone from silent that is how it looks..

Thanks, that's a handy feature that I hadn't known about.

As to the OP's problem: I just tried muting and then unmuting my phone, and all sliders, including notifications, return to normal. Does your problem only occur after it's mute for a long time?

Also, are you sure your screenshot is showing the actual volume settings, rather than the settings to be used for muting? (The actual volume settings show up when you bring up the volume slider by using the volume keys, and then drag downward on the handle below the slider to expand and see all the other volume sliders.)

YES . it happens only if my phone is on silent mode for a long time (all night) my wife has the same note 10+ and the same problem
The screen shot i uploaded shows the way it present in the morning when i get out from silent . everything goes back to full volume except the third line which is the notification , stays on zero volume

Strange , mines not doing that.

Unfortunately it was great only for 2 days . I think there is a very strange pattern in this process . When i put my phone to silent mode at night , if i charge it on wireless charger or do not charge it at all , in the morning when i get out from silent mode notification sound stays on zero BUT if i put my phone to silent mode and charge it direct from cable when i get out from silent mode all sound sliders jumping to maximum volume . very strange and i have no idea what is happening . I tried samsung support , they want 4$ just to chat with me which i principal do not want to give them . I think the price of 2 note 10+ is enough and they should support for no charge
