silversurfer new to Android

Hi everyone,
I'm completely new to this system. I'm age 74, have an aged Mac still in use but I like to try new technology - saw Google Chrome, then Android, and here I am with this new Tablet, a 10.2" from independent manufacturer, Android version 2.3.3

So far I'm happy with progress and realise I've got a steep learning curve. I don't expect I'll be doing much advanced. I'll always look in these help pages first, but if I post any dumb questions, please be patient. Thanks !!
