Simi Clock over other widgets

I'm sorry if this isn't the right forum, I wasn't sure where to ask this.

I've seen people have the simi clock with the smooth calendar app right under it, extending the diving line down. I can't figure out how to do this. I can resize them but when simi starts to over lap smooth, it turns red.
I'm using ADW.Launcher at the moment, I have LauncherPro installed but I know I can't resize unless I buy the Plus version.
Is the free launcher hindering me from resizing these properly?

You might be able to do it with ADW. Try long pressing the app > edit.

I know you can do it with ADW EX -- it even has an option to allow widget overlaying. Otherwise you'll need Launcher Pro Plus like EvilMonkey said.
