Since Froyo update, Doid goes into a "sleep" mode while docked

My phone never did this until Froyo. During the night, while docked, it just turns off. I use the docked phone as my bedside clock, so this is very irritating. Is there a "sleep" mode or something that has been added with the 2.2 update? If so, I can't seem to find it. Is anyone else having the same problem? Thanks
