since installing Froyo phone totally lags with everything i do

Hey to everyone out there. This is my first post and defenetly need some help.
I reacently updated my stock captivate to 2.2. I have never messed around with it untill official 2.2 from att came out. Ever since the install the phone totaly lags at evrything i do. From switching home screens to running apps web browsing in mean everything i do with it it is slowwww and freezes up. What can i do to fix this. Any asistance would be gratly appreciated.

The advice I generally give when an update slows things down is do a factory reset. Sometimes not all the data on your phone works well with the update, and if things are freezing, there's definitely something borked.

Just copy them from the Internal SD to your computer. Pictures are in DCIM.

I had a lot of issues after the update. Factory reset seems to have fixed them. I did lose data from the external SD. Don't know if it was caused by the update, factory reset, or other issues (have used a couple of different ROMs in the past).

Definitely backup first.

Well guys. I did backup my data and factory reset the unit and i am loving Froyo. Its awesome. Personaly havent touched my Blackberry for a week. I cant believe all the thins i could do with this phone. So thanks for the advice ir totaly helped me out.
