Since update this week, can no longer apply individualized text notification sounds to any contact?

[Android Central Question]

Since update this week, can no longer apply individualized text notification sounds to any contact??? why??? I need that for work to be able to know who is texting and decide if I NEED to stop what I am working o and check message, very important feature for me while working. have the S8
therE seem to be even within the contacts the Option anymore to apply their own text sound but rather only ringtone.
also when opening text app to write a text, search contact ad many that pop up say its an invalid number!!! what is going on? even if cell number withing the contact is saed as the main number.
