Yeah that part is right but you want to make the rest of it reflects the open beta. Here's what it's supposed to look like from the About in the Messages app. It's showing version 20220310_01_RC00
I have the same version now on my Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra, but when I clicked on Advanced, there's no show iPhone reactionsYeah that part is right but you want to make the rest of it reflects the open beta. Here's what it's supposed to look like from the About in the Messages app.![]()
Yeah that's bummer and what's been frustrating most of us here is there's really no rhyme or reason as to how to get the option available. Some things will or will not work. Doing this didn't work for me before but now does. It's annoyingly frustrating.I have the same version now on my Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra, but when I clicked on Advanced, there's no show iPhone reactions.
Now in the Google play store it asked to update the Messages app. Did you after you did this install? No because it wants to install the Samsung version which will most likely kill the iPhone reactions setting. So disabled Auto Update for it and will just keep an eye on the APK site for newer versions until it's officially available. Since the apk install didn't work for you you might as well go back to the latest play store version. Now in the Google play store it asked to update the Messages app. Did you after you did this install? Doesn't look like that's a beta version and not sure if it'll have the iPhone Reactions option. You can give it a try. What about that message that there is a more recent version below? (Dated today)
Yeah you need the version doesn't say Samsung in the beta version.

Oh really what version and is it beta?I have the iPhone reactions with the Samsung version.
Yeah I know it makes no sense. I was on the latest beta Google play Samsung version and didn't have the option until I installed the non Samsung beta version.I keep pointing out that the iPhone reactions must be a server side update. Some people with the open beta have them, some don't. Some people with the Samsung version don't, but I do and I assume I'm not the only one in the world who does.
That to me means it isn't the apk version that adds the feature, it's pushed from the server side.
