Sky Raider 3.0 has been released!!!

Just boot into recovery and look. If it doesn't say s-off at the top then you didn't do it right.

I stripped 3.0 down to Vanilla last night had it looking and performing the same as 2.5.2. From what I can tell looking at things performance wise it was going to be a bit better but about the same in vanilla form. However with the lack of a working search button, which I do use, and the 'customizations' on the notification bar it was a no go. Themes will solve the notification bar, but the search button killed it for me. I will wait and see what he comes up with.

Supposedly with this RUU 2.2 leak we have out in the wild now there may be a new wave of ROMs coming anyways. This also may be about the time I finally jump ship to CM6 since it's a true vanilla install, no sense at all. And SOOO much faster, love it on the Moto Droid.

Q- I only went vanilla for a few hours on 2.5.2 so I did not play much with it cause I felt like I was missing some things. I use LP and for one of my dock icons I keep my messages. That includes SMS/MMS/VM. I did not see a way to keep VM lumped with all messages..that was a killer for me. Also W/O Facebook, I heard you had to install Social Networker? Is that like the Moto Widget an can you sync that w/your contacts...Thanks

Btw...Rice Burner...lmao

Ok, I do have s-off, is there a way to just skip to the radio without changing roms and all that fun stuff? Lol

Well you can skip doing the radio if you are willing to not have a working camcorder. As far as the social networking stuff that's the sense ui facebook app, twitter, friendstream etc.

If you don't like the Vanilla you could always flash the Sense version of it with the social networking addition and it will be the phone you are used to.

I like the sky raider 3.0, and want to update the radio, I'm just wondering if there is a way to do just the radio. Lol

Oh. Yeah find and download the radio only image. Flash it using adb and you're good to go. Not sure where the link is, but it's somewhere in the XDA forums. Look for the 8/1 leak or the 2.15 radio thread and look and READ through those before you do anything.

if you guys dont like the way raider 3.0 looks you can always try my theme

Linpack is 38

My search button isn't working but I never used it. So far I really like this Rom. I can only hope it helps my battery charging time.

I ended up having to revert back to SR 2.5.2 after I rebooted my phone all the icons shifted up and some widgets were missing with a message saying unable to generate (or something like that).

I haven' t had time to read to see if there are bugs or if that was unique to me. I installed via ROM Manager so there could have been some glitch with that but the install went really smooth so not sure.

Idk if its just me or not. I did my nandroid backup complete wipe and install of this Rom and after charging it to 100% at 1113 this morning and taking it off the charger, it INSTANTLY dropped to 97%. Now I knew this was a bad thing right away. I haven't messed with the setcpu yet and I'm now down to 50% battery life at just under two hrs later. Is there some sort of combination I need to do to get my battery life up to par. Ive been running skyraiders roms for a while now and I really like 3.0. I really don't want to have to downgrade

Quick queston on Titanium back up. Last night when I installed SR 3.0 RC2 from ROM Manager I did a complete wipe of data and cashe (which is what you should do when intalling a new ROM). When all was complete with the install the first thing I did was go to the market to download Titanium Back up so I could restore my apps. Now here is the quesiton. When I restore apps after changing to a new ROM so I just select the option to restore user apps or the option to restore user apps and system data? I picked restore user apps and system data but then after doing that I wondered if there would be conflicts from the old ROM's data with the newly installed ROM. Did I do it wrong? I wonder if that is why after I got everything set up and looking so SWEET with the new ROM after I rebooted all my icons and widgets freaked out and stuff.

Any thoughts?

EDIT to add: By the way, the when I went back to SR 2.5.2 I selected the same restore (Apps and system data) and it was perfect, even down to my wallpaper. Everything was exactly as it was before the install without me having to do anything (special ring tones assigned to contact records and everything).

There's only one way take the theme off then leave all screens blank then add the theme back

Ok, I am having a problem with my phone when I am trying to download Apps it says my memory is full, when it says there is plenty of room. Any ideas?

I'm interested in downloading SR 3.0 RC2 again but want to make sure I do the Titanium restore correctly after the install.
