I installed skyraider 3.0 and went to the skyraider directory on the sd card to load the flash 10.1. Says it installed but it won't play any flash? any ideas?
Do you work for Sandisk? I wonder because they don't yet make a Class 4 micro sdhc card and am wondering how you got your hands on one?
What class does the card say on it? you were not so polite to me on another post (Nick Burns style), so yeah, it was a "you're lying" kind of post. You can call it what you want, but it says Class 2 and is a Class 2. You're lying, or think you know better. What it do, Nick? "Did you reboot, MOVE!"
Does anyone feel like their battery has been Shot with 3.0? Mine drains so quickly
I'm abrasive? Hardly friend. I just air my opinions out when asked rather it be blunt or not. Just how I am. When someone asks an honest question and I can tell they have at least tried to find the answer I help them. If they come in here asking the same question for the 100th time or more without searching, without reading, or anything else and expect someone like myself to step in and spoon feed them the answer, I let them know what they should do first to earn help from the rest of us.
I used to never understand the "Let me google it for you", or "Search much?" answers until it got to the point that people start PMing me for help. When you start receiving PM's for help on topics you just covered in the forums asking how to do it when you've posted a step by step a monkey could follow, it tends to make you a bit touchy.
As far as abrasive, I'm sorry you think that way. In over 2,000 posts I have done nothing but try to educate and help people on this particular forum about Android. To get them to point where they wouldn't have to depend on a forum to get them out of trouble, to be able to install cool stuff, do the mods they want, or simply remove the garbage from their phone. If you don't take the time to read BEFORE you ask questions, then why should people like me take the time to reply or type up those how-to's and responses! If you take that as abrasive when I ask people to read or search because it's been covered I'm sorry, it's just how I am and I'm sure a few more people agree.
I've been on enough forums to know that this place always have an influx of folks who simply won't search. They want the instant gratification of the proper answer up front, boiled down in a few sentences, without having to bother with searching the forum or Googling, because it their mind it's labor intensive on their part, and runs the risk of retrieving complicated or in some instances conflicting answers.
Additionally, I think the intent is not so much to find the correct answer as it is to open a dialog with someone(s) who know what they're doing, because I'm sure you can agree, their first question is rarely their last question. They are terrified of bricking their $200-$500 phones. Granted, many of them probably shouldn't be rooting or flashing ROMs/kernels, but around here most everyone seems to be doing it and they end up drinking the kool-aid and trying it for themselves half cocked.
Personally, I'm with you. I think people should search and figure it out themselves, however I've learned to not actually POST 'Hey, search and figure it out yourself!' because that typically kills the thread or changes it's tone to a very defensive nature.
If I just move on, someone else a bit less cynical than you or I often times does reply with the proper answer, and everybody wins.
Also, I should point out that when someone here a few weeks back spammed a bunch of Android sites (this being one) looking for a cheap Incredbile and I told him to post in the Marketplace, you accused me of being the "forum police" (complete with sound effects...nice touch) and essentially told me to lighten up.
Thanks for giving me the opportunity to return the favor![]()
Regarding Sky Raider 3.0 RC3, I installed it this morning and it appeared as though I lost 10% of my battery in an hour. Will continue to monitor to see if battery life is affected.
However, something to consider: This particular install also installs over your kernel. I had KingxKernel #3 and now have with KingxKernal 1# BFS.
KxK #3 was simply bar none when it came to battery life. I was literally going on two days with over 40% battery life. I don't seem to be experiencing the same with KxK BFS #1.
I'll keep KxK BFS #1 for another day or so, then roll back to KxK #3 for comparison purposes.
Also, like many others, I like the stock Sense lock bar a bit better than this one.
my battery sucks now matter what I have done...this seems like a more complete release, have you noticed the screen dims relly quickly when pressing lock button before going black?
It does, almost like a two step dim/black process when you press the button. Also, the unlock slider seems a bit choppy and you only need to pull it down 50% of the way for it to unlock on its own.
I think all the goodies should work on RC3 but just make sure you have a backup before you flash them.
