Skyraider 4.0 Available Now

When you say you wipe "data/cache" do you just mean the cache partition? I see Dalvik under "Advanced" and I see an option for "wipe cache partition" but I don't see anything that says data/cache.

I think I might be getting hung up on the word "data"

Also, what does wiping the cache partition and Dalvik actually get rid of? Will I need to re-set up anything after doing this?

Thanks for the help Wanda.
Yes that is what wanda meant... Just don't do a full wipe of cache/data.... only the cache and dalvik need to be wiped.... the cache you want to wipe is located directly beneath the FULL DATA WIPE...

flashing them just insures a fresh start and no hang ups (better safe than sorry) you will lose nothing on your phone unless you do a factory data wipe... You won't need to set anything up after wards... RULE! - always make a nandroid backup first before flashing anything new.... ALWAYS.. better safe than sorry, IF something were to go wrong (it almost never does) at least you have the most recent back up you can restore...

No, This person just flashed 2.0 for the first time and had some general questions :) BTW, sold my Inc on ebay yesterday... got 177.88 for it with all accessories, I had to lower the price, there were like a ton of inc's for sale... just glad I sold it though :)

what is the best battery mods gingerbread style?

thanks for picking up my slack ssethv...I was traveling most of the day.

Sorry for slow response time rk...not real sure about battery mods for Skyraider...what are you looking for, % meter or numeric % or circle battery? Most ROM's have they're own mods for this made by the ROM chef. I would think the battery mods for other versions of Skyraider would work on this newer version. If you find some (try the original XDA thread) make a nandroid of what your currently running and give it a go, you don't know until you try it. And if it turns out that it doesn't work, do a restore and you haven't lost a thing except for the 30 minutes it took to make the back up, flash the mod, and do the restore.

so i tried to flash a new rom to see if i would have any luck the rom was virtous still cant get past the white "htc incredible" screen dont know what is going wrong

How did you flash? If you flashed with ROM Manager, try booting into recovery, delete data, cache and dalvik.

Then Flash a .zip from SD, find the clockwork directory, then the Skyraider Directory (sorry, don't remember where it is off the top of my head) and flash the Skyraider .zip file.

Then reboot and you should be good to go.

went into to rom manager and tried to install rom from rom manager but once trying to boot up it wouldnt go past the white htc incredible screen

anyway to get rid of hulu and upgrade to the latest flash on this rom. i loved this rom on how it had dashes of cm7 and sense but i wanted the latest flash and i really dont care for hulu. i tired doing it but my browser seemed unstable.

I don't think you can have the lastest flash version 10.2 and Hulu work at the same time.

Try starting at post #261 of this thread. It dealt with flash and Hulu. It may not be exaclty what your were looking for but give it a read.

Nor do I think you can update Flash because it is in the System/app folder not data/app. I think you have to wait for the Dev to update it in the ROM and than flash the updated ROM.

Sup guys! I am positive you cannot upgrade flash. When I was using this rom I tried to upgrade with no success, you are absolutely correct pville... Plus the developer specifically states that you cannot upgrade flash with this rom...

Skyraider is and was my favorite I wish I could have it on my thunderbolt

Just made the switch to this rom after some rough times with the "stable" version of CM7. love this rom, its got everything I need and nothing i dont. between this and the new radio, my battery life lasts easily 50% longer than it did with HTCs regular software.

Try the nightlys of CM 7. #96 is very slick and very stable. Skyraider 4.0 is what I go back to when I want a"sense" fix. I would use it exclusively if it weren't for the fact that its froyo based and gbread has been out for what seems like ages.
