Who is waiting for the S26 Ultra?

Everything I've read recently points towards a February 25th launch date, seven weeks from today.

Feb 25th will be Unpacked event (= launch date or reveal date).

Available date, i. e. available date/delivery date is:

"A February 25th reveal would suggest the Galaxy S26 series might be available to buy around March 13th. While that is mid-month rather than "early" March, the 13th is a Friday—the typical day of the week Samsung chooses for its flagship retail releases."

Friday the 13th. What could possibly go wrong? 😉

I care more about the actual date of receiving the phone.

Whatever other dates, Unpacked, order date, whatever, are just various steps.

They should just tell us when we'll get our phones!

;)
True but I will pre-order as soon as they let you. Usually I think if you order from Samsung you get it a day or two earlier than it goes on sale. I can't really remember. We used to do Best Buy all the time than switched to Samsung cause you got a better trade in and used to be free buds or $150 to $200 towards accessories. I don't remember. I know their is a $50 reserve usually. I just really hope we still get the memory upgrade. I get a healthcare discount so I will get the 512 anyway but it would be nice to still get it. Especially since we have 24's we won't get as much as people with a 25. I want the buds pro 4 also so I am hoping their is a good discount if you buy together but I have an old pair of Pro 2's I use as a backup to my Pro 3's that I would trade in if I have to do it separately.

Was wondering this same thing about the Buds4 Pros. Ideally we get to do two trade-ins, in one order with our phones and the buds. I'm thinking as you stated we may have to do two separate orders though. I could see them offering discounted pricing for the Buds4 Pros as part of the phone order (or maybe we use some of the credit we get- although I don't expect it to be much). Will need to weigh what that pricing will be vs. doing a separate order where we trade our old pair of buds in for the new pair. It will be interesting.

Maybe they will let us do 2 trade ins in one order I don't remember ever doing that. I don't really need the Pro4's I have the pro 2's and 3's but would like to have the latest and the gestures seem kind of cool. I don't usually wear my buds for phones calls just for music and watching TV. One time they told me you couldn't buy 2 phones and do 2 trade ins under one account not sure if that's true cause if I get my healthcare discount I would like to purchase my husbands under my account also. I bought 2 x 25U for a friend and got 2 discounts but didn't do trade ins.

Looks like March 11th will be the date the S26 line of phones goes on sale in stores. Preorders start February 25th. My guess is people that preorder their phones will get them around March 6th, based on how it's been previous years.

So the sooner you pre-order the better? I forget can you pre-order as soon as the show starts or at the end? I think I remember one year I think I remember one year people ordering late in the night or the next day getting theirs before us and we ordered right when it was over or during as soon as it let us.

It will come down to who has the better trade-in offer... it varies from year to year but sometimes its the carriers offering $1100 for your newer model trade-in. Sometimes it was Samsung. Usually there is at least one that will.

What I hate about carrier deals is they will give me say $1100 for my S25U as a trade in for the S26U.....but only in bill credits for 36 months. If you make any changes to that line or swap esim or sim card then it could void that bill credit. If i want to upgrade to say the S27U then I lose money from the cost of my S25U trade in deal.

Carriers promotions are usually best for those that don't swap out too much and like to keep their phones, my iPhone is a good example since I only switch that line every 3 years and right now they're offering me $1100 for my iPhone 15 Pro Max

Well I should of clarified we always order unlocked from Samsung and will trade in our 24 Ultras. We never do carrier deals. We like to trade in and pay the difference and own our phones.

Also for those who don't mind paying an overall higher monthly cost eligible for "free" trade-in's plan (compared to MVNO offerings).

Every time I run the numbers it is less expensive to trade-in direct with the manufacturer (including free pre-order upgrades/extras/3rd party incentives), pay outright for the new phone and use a low monthly cost MVNO plan ($15/month for 10 GB with unlimited talk and text).

It always has ended up costing more for a carrier "free/heavily discounted trade-in eligible" multi-year commitment plan.

Exactly you have to run the numbers, I have friends on Verizon pre paid they always ask me why I can't get this deal or that deal, I'm always reminding them you see your plan and use the manufacturer trade ins

Yeah works for me cause I rarely make changes. I've had pretty much the same number and carrier as far back when my carrier was called Cingular 😄
