Slacker, why does it not want me to upgrade to jelly bean?

OK, seriously i have tried numerous times to upgrade but every time the install fails and claims that there is a failure due to something to do with the slacker apk. For some reason i can't use the Droid utility to concert back to full stock. The utility never lets me choose 1. Had anyone had this problem? Please help!

It sounds like your rooted, and you removed slacker. Put it back in system / data, then run the update.

There was a stock ICS pre-rooted if I recall. Get that one. I will see if I can find it.

You are exactly right, phone was rooted and slacker removed but was replaced and still does not work. Good lesson for me; don't mess with things unless you know exactly what you are doing.

MrHost, so far so good. i followed the instructions in the link you provided and the JB update is installing as we speak and has past the point where it would normally abort. If this works, i owe you a beer or 2 or 3. THANKS!!!!!!!
