Slow Facebook App on Samsung galaxy s7

Hi there,

I've got an issue with Facebook. I'm using a portable wifi modem to have access internet on my phone.

My phone is upgraded to Android 7 on Samsung galaxy s7.

Longstory short. When I use data the Facebook app doesn't have any issues. No loading problems.

When I use wifi the Facebook app is really slow and sometimes the Facebook app doesnt load anything. Can see white picture instead of the picture loading and comment while you are offline message during the day. Instagram also has same issue

Weird thing is when I'm using the same wifi at night (say after 9pm or 10pm) the app doesn't have any issues. The pictures load and I'm able to browse through the Facebook app without any issues.

Please has anyone had any similar issues. It's really frustrating this has been happening for paste couple of month.

PS. All other apps work perfectly fine.

Welcome to Android Central! Does this happen on any wi-fi network, or only on your portable wi-fi hotspot?

Thanks for replying. It happens on most of wifi network.

Strange -- maybe it's a congestion issue where you are. Is there any pattern to which networks seem to work normally during the day? Are they all public? Are they all located in the same geographic area?
