Slowed to an absolute crawl.. Faulty?

I've had my Nexus 7 since last Christmas and pretty much use it every day without fail. It's by no means "stuffed full" of apps and I only really use it for Google Hangouts, Skype, Twitter and some TVcatchup. That's about it.

Over the last two weeks I've noticed it's getting slower and slower to the point where it's practically unusable. For example today I was trying to browse the web (using the stock Chrome browser) and it would take a good 5 - 10 seconds to register each key press when entering a URL.

That's just one example and I don't want to bore people by typing out countless others. Lets just say it's slow.

Is there anything I can do?

It's probably easier to attach the screenshots in answer to your question. (It took about a minute for the Nexus to calculate the storage levels)

I asked because there is a particular issue with the 16gb model and low-ish disk space but obviously that does not apply here. I would say a factory reset is in your future.

That's pretty interesting. Never seen anyone mention that tool before. Thanks for posting...

Hi

I am no expert, but my android was so painfully slow, I did not know what to do. Then decided to change from the google browser to the Opera-mini and wow, that certainly solved my problem.
I have since found out that Google has had a lot of problems with their browser on androids and are still working on it.
