Anyone else have this? I noticed it a few days ago, and I gentle as all heck with putting it in and taking it out (the USB Connector that is). Also while watching one of the review videos, it looked like his model had it also.

Using the cable that came in the box, it looks one of the points on the end of the cable wore it down to a chip (possibly a misaligned plug on the phone itself causing the metal clip to rub against it when inserting?)

Huh, that definitely looks like the USB caused it, especially if you tell us a review has it too.
This picture doesn't seem to have it.

yeah I dont know..as I said I put it in there gently and last time I watched closely as I slid the plug it..one of the metal prongs on the top of the USB connector (right side) seems to slide along the chip..as if it made a "groove" in the plastic :(

Ouch. Makes me question the integrity of the plastic in general.

well I am still within my 14 day return period so I will probably just go swap it out...I am just afraid that AT&T wont swap it and say it was my fault!!

since i got my One, i've thought the placement of the 3.5mm headphone jack was odd. why put it 7/8 in the white plastic and 1/8 in the aluminum casing? seems more logical to center it in the plastic to avoid any sort of chipping or off-setting of the metal > plastic seal.

Worst that can happen is that they say no.
But keep in mind. if you have:
-Good Speakers with zero crackle
-Solid Gappless build
-No dead pixels
Is the little chip worth it?

Well my speakers are good...small gaps on top and bottom but those gaps alone won't make me exchange it ..and pixels are fine..I've got a few days yet

Quite frankly, my biggest concern would be the screen. If you have no dead pixels I wouldn't even think about if for that chip.

Yeah thats the way im leaning.. I need to tone down my OCD when it comes to keeping my phones pristine lol.. Guess I just like to keep the resale value up when and if I decide to sell it down the road to something else

Its hard man. With my s3 or note 2 I could care less....but this device is so nice, I would hate to get a nick or scratch. I feel your pain

LOL you should have seen how pissy I was when I found a microscratch on my Galaxy Nexus..or how mad I was when the coating on my Thunderbolt's kickstand started to peel ...
