Did you also try turning off Smart Lock in the Trust Agents menu? That would be in the Advanced menu under Security.

It turns out that I have two gmail accounts on my phone and I had to delete my home address from both accounts. The trusted place feature would not turn off and I had to delete my home address to make it stop. Weird that it never did that for all these years I have used Android. And yes I found that setting. Thanks. I did not know you could turn it off...
