Hi tried everything, nada. I saved a lot of GPS point around my home, I have high precision GPS, it tried to delete and to re-add the address and nothing. What do you suggest?

this sucks for me too. sometimes it works though. very frustrating, makes you want to throw the phone.

there's another post floating around about this same issue. a lot of people said they had to actually move the dot on the map or whatever it is ( i don't use the location lock) to where they actually are since the gps isn't 100% accurate

yep. don't use your actual address as the location for smart lock.
use the location shown by google maps when you are in your house.
for example my house number is 22 but google maps is showing my current location as number 25 so i am using 25 for smart lock

I'm having the same issue...I've add multiple locations within like a block radius and it still only wants work very rarely :/

Initially, my home location was not working but my work location was. I deleted the home location and added it again using GPS location while in my house instead of the street address and it's been working fine.

What does that mean? I have an Exchange account on my phone and smart lock works fine.

It means that the Exchange administrator can configure the ActiveSync subscription to require a "real" password on any device that subscribes to the push email service.

I have mine turned off just to prevent such an issue.

Exchange Management Console -> Organization Configuration -> Client Access ->Exchange ActiveSync Mailbox Policies -> Default -> Properties -> Password -> Require Password

check your permissions. when I used the stock Samsung email app for my work email, smart lick was blocked. I approved in the permissions. when I switched to the Outlook app for work emails, it wasn't a problem.

Ahh..thanks for that. I have a personal Exchange not through my work so I don't have the password requirement.

Exactly, as do I.

Most enterprise admins would not turn off the device password requirements.

I don't think this is the problem - as most of the time it works fine. (I bought nine mail $14.99 app to get around this for my work mail). Sometimes, while at home, trusted places works fine to unlock my phone with a swipe only. Then, a short while later, it will ask for a pin or a fingerprint.

I have seen a few posts about this on different Forums lately. I remember an issue back around 2013 or 2014 when this was first introduced (with the Moto X, I believe) and Google Maps was part of the issue. Your current location would "drift" and cause the trusted location to stop working. Then other times it would work fine for a while. When it doesn't work, open Google Maps and search for your current location. Has it drifted outside of your saved Trusted Location area?

I re-add the GPS location periodically when I am at home and it will work for a period and then stop working. I have pretty much given up on it working based on location, and I don't have bluetooth devices regularly located in the correct locations so Smart Lock is pretty useless to me.

I deleted all locations off smart lock and my home address off google maps, then re-added home address to maps. Went back in to smart lock and selected home address, and it's now working. We'll see for how long.

So I just added a few trusted areas surrounding my house and so far so good! It's only been a day but if it continues to work I will report back.

I solved it on my phone. I switched off every other SMART lock feature and just left Trusted Places on. Been working for over a day now after having not worked at all for 3 or 4 months.

Obviously one of the other Smart Lock features - voice, trusted devices or on-body detection is interfering with trusted places, but not sure which one at this stage.

Noticed this behavior too. Have Smart Lock set to stay unlocked when I'm at home. Most of the time works, but sometimes it doesn't. Stays locked.
