Smart lock trusted places not working properly

Hi,

I have a Sony Xperia Z3 running Android 6.0.1 and I'm trying to use smart lock and trusted places. I added my home to trusted places and that is the only location that I have in trusted places. After adding my home, I no longer get prompted for a password even though I'm nowhere near my home. When I disable my home location, then I get prompted for a password. Why is that happening?

Smart Lock depends on GPS location. If you have it set to high accuracy, it should narrow down where you are in relation to where home is.

I honestly wish Google would implement a trusted WiFi connection.

I do have it set to high accuracy and I'm really far away from my home, 30km to be exact and still I don't get prompted for a password.

I agree with you about the trusted WiFi, I'm baffled as to why Google hasn't implemented this yet. Maybe they have in Android 7?

I did the same for mine(Gionee M5 Mini running 6.0.1) and it still request for password on my device when I'm home.
