Smart Playlists on Android?

Hi, I just switched to android from iphone, and one of the features I've been missing is the smart playlists available though itunes. I've seen recommendations for isync to work with itunes to create smart playlists, but I was wondering if there are any other music playing apps that support this feature. Right now it ends up copying files onto my phone that were already synced (files in synced a synced playlist are duplicated), so I'm looking to find a system that's more efficient with phone memory.

This seems like the kind of interactive and personalized interface that would thrive under android, so I'm surprised to find I need to interface through itunes to make it work.

Any help is appreciated

I would say use Google music, you can upload up to 20K songs free, and once you have a good amount of rated songs it is good at making auto playlists for you.

No, that solution REALLY doesn't work. Google Play Music doesn't have itunes style smart playlist - where you can say something like 'play all music witht the word 'Bounce' in the title'.

I don't know if you're still interested, but i was very happy to find out that GoneMAD Music Player has this function
