When I try to connect smart things to my Samsung TV it says there is a permissions error. Works perfect on my wife's phone. Just not mine
 
If you open the Application Manager and find Smart Things, go to the Permissions section. Check that all requested permissions are allowed or something might not work. Also, if you're trying to connect to a TV, see if the TV lists your phone as a previous connection... you might have to remove it and re-add it (it should ask for a PIN or confirmation screen depending on the model so it allows the phone to connect).
 
Have you cleared cache/data in the Smart Things app? Uninstall/Re-install? Trying to connect to a different TV (just to rule out that no settings have changed in the TV to make it block connections)?
