Android Central Question

I believe I'm supposed to be able to mirror/cast my Samsung A70 phone onto my pc using Smart View. I've followed every lead I can find online (firewall, display time settings, etc).

I've installed the Google Home onto phone. I've downloaded trial Reflector 3. Still no sign of it mirrorcasting. Nothing happens. I've spent 3 days reading online and trialling different pcs.

I've also installed the app Your Phone but this doesn't show the image of the phone's home screen and using the apps which is what I need to do for zoom meetings. I need to demonstrate how to use apps on the phone.

It must be some setting on my Galaxy A70 as the YouTube videos make it all sound so easy. I'm desperate.

How about Samsung Flow? For some reason the forum isn't liking the link I'm trying to share for it. I just tried a link from a different page, it seems the forum software isn't liking the Samsung page...

EUREKA! I can't believe I can now see the image of the phone screen on the PC screen after literally spending days on dead-ends. I'm over the moon!
(I waited two days for Reflector 3 to reply and all they did was send a link to their website which I'd read and tried a week before. I should have tried the forum first. I don't even need to buy Reflector now.)
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Your knowledge is hugely appreciated.

@jam45 Welcome to the forums.

For the benefit of others that might be having this problem and stumble upon your post - what was the solution? Was it Reflector or was it Samsung Flow?

Is it just me or do links not work in the Android app? I can't open this link or any other without using the website.

In any case I don't know why anyone is recommending additional software. Both Samsung devices and Windows 10 support Miracast. I've been able to screen mirror for years simply by opening the connect app on windows then tapping smart view on my phone, it's as effortless as screen sharing with a Roku, Samsung TV, or any other miracast enabled device.

The solution was the Samsung Flow app. I am aware that most people are able to simply mirrorcast to the pc without any additional apps. I've seen it happen on dozens of YouTube videos. Even a member of my family can do it with his older Android but my Samsund Galaxy A70 would not. The solution for me is Flow, I don't even need to buy Reflector now.
