SmartSwitch stuck on 'preparing to start restore process'

Hello, i recently bought an SGS7 Edge coming from an iPhone and i'm trying to transfer all the data from my iPhone using Smartswitch and it's been stuck on 'Preparing to start restore process' for over an hour now..
I also tried the adapter thing where u connect both phones but for some reason it said there is not enough storage in my phone although i have 32GB of internal storage and another 64GB sd card..

Perhaps its because you have insufficient storage. The SD card is irrelevant because it can only be used for media. You could change the SD card to adaptive storage although you need to be aware that only your phone can read that SD card because of encryption. Further, SD cards can and do fail. A corrupt SD card using adaptive storage is irrecoverable.

My Samsung smartswitch kept hanging during backup. Most often at 38% but also other intervals. I solved it by going into the smartswitch menu that shows up on your computer screen when you launch, click on the "more" button and select "reinstall the device driver". Next backup went flawlessly. Using Smart Switch on my PC with Galaxy S4 with most up to date software in the phone (Verizon I545)
