I honestly thought we'd seen this corrected. HTC issue? Thunderbolt issue? Either way, it ain't gone. Case in point today:

I'm running 2.11.605.9. This morning I was having an SMS conversation with my son. At one point I typed a message that said - quote:

"Damn! Try to get out and do something fun at some point though!"

I got a reply back from SMS address 447879 that said:

"Thx for texting History Channel! Sorry, we didn't recognize ur msg. Msg&data rates may aply. Txt STOP 2quit or HELP for info."

So I tried it again. Did a resend on the exact same message. I got back the exact same message from the History Channel.

I send a message to my son telling him what had happened, and then resent the same message above to him, this time enclosed in quotes. It got to him, with no reply from the History Channel. My son, BTW, is also sporting a Thunderbolt.

Discuss. ;-)

Is your phone rooted? This was a known problem on the stock ROM.

Sent from my rooted Thunderbolt using Tapatalk 2.

Lou, Frank - nope, not rooted. All stock. But I coulda sworn this was solved a long time ago in an OTA?

I only had that happen once and it was when we were still on Froyo. Luckily, the message I sent wasn't anything embarrassing...lol!

Have not had any problems since, but I don't text all that much either. I'm definitely VERY careful about what I text to people now though, that's for sure!

I was suffering from this on Froyo as well, but haven't had any issues since the GingerBread update. (Knocks on wood)
