Snapchat videos from Honor 8 not playing past 1st frame

It seems that everytime I try to play a snapchatvideo on my Samsung s7 sent from Honor 8 the video freezes on the first frame but sound keeps playing. Same problem with 3 different friends with Honor 8. Currently running android 7.0

Fixes tried: Clearing cache, clearing data, rebooting, reinstalling, all application permissions checked, readding friends, new snapchat account.

Any ideas except switching to newer?

I have this exact same problem. I have tried the same things. I have also tried installing older versions and nothing works. This is specifically from Honor 8 phones. Snapchat support doesn't reply. I contacted them 2 months ago without any answer. Does anyone know any fix?
