So far I'm very happy.

To address the earlier question about battery life and 5G -- I switched 5G back on for a day, and the battery ended the day in the mid 60s instead of the mid 70s. So yes, it does use more battery, but that's to be expected with 5G. I would still call mid 60s at the end of the day excellent battery life.:)

I too get excellent battery life. I'm usually above 50% at the end of the day. I'm in an area that gets 5G and I never turn if OFF.

I've also had a problem free P6Pro since November. I consider myself a knowledgeable user. This whole time I've been reading the forum about all these "bugs" that I don't experience. What's different with my P6Pro and my environment?

The only problem I had was that it kept asking me to align my phone properly when using my 1st gen Pixel wireless charger (worked just fine on my other wireless charger), but that problem disappeared (was fixed) with either the March or April update. Other than that, my phone worked just fine, and is still working just fine.

Depends on your usage. Ending the day 60%+ battery suggests to me you don't use the phone much during the day. I would be at 50% by mid-day and almost dead by 6-7pm.

This is multiple calls, emails, texts, music/YouTube on my breaks, with 5G on constantly during the day.

Only way I'd end the day with over 60% battery is if I used it very sparingly. Would love to see your battery usage log.

Next time I'm on call at the hospital, I'll see how it is.

Please do. I'd be interested to see the usage. Be sure to tag me in the post.

Actually, I might put my sim card back in my Pixel 6 Pro and use it for a day, see how well the battery goes.

I charge to around 90% each morning, have 5G on full time, and typically use around 3 hours screen on time/day. Usually around 50% power left at the end of the day/first thing in the morning. Phone is on 24/7, turn on do not disturb at the end of the day. No battery issues for me.

With 5G turned off, on a typical call day from around 7 AM to 10 PM, the battery is usually in the 40-50 range (sometimes even 60) by the time I get home (mostly chewed up by the secure messaging app because I'm being bombarded by messages from nurses all day long). I'm guessing with 5G turned on, it'll be more like 30-40, but we'll see. If T-Mobile 5G signal at work is poor, it might be worse.

My experience has been very positive. So far I haven't had the urge to go back to my 7 Pro and that of itself speaks volumes considering how happy I was with my previous phone. I created this thread as a positive real life review of my personal experience in opposition to the many threads of "this doesn't work, that is messed up" I wanted to see others chime in saying that they are also just as happy as I am.

I've had a relatively positive experience using this phone, but we should expect better from a company like Google. This isn't their first time making a phone, they have a market cap of over a Trillion dollars, so it's not resources or experience they are lacking.

I love the pixel features like call screen, live translate etc, when those work they are absolutely amazing. Some of the basics is kind of where Google struggles and that brings the overall experience down. I still enjoy using this phone, it just could be that much better if they took a little more time properly testing it etc.

This is from today. It's my day off and I decided to really push it to see how good it is. It very much beats the OnePlus 7 Pro with similar use.

It's working out fine. I'm sorry to hear that others are not having a good experience, but I really don't have much to complain about. I have had some minor issues but compared to the complete catastrophe of Android 11 on the OnePlus 7 Pro I'm doing great. There's things that I miss like the screen off gestures on oxygen OS but it's not a huge deal. I'm very happy with what I have.

Should I be feeling left out that I don’t have any of these problems?

My Pixel 6 was ordered from the Google Store and delivered on 30 Oct 2021, so it is one of the earlier ones.

Be happy and excited! There are a lot of users around here that have also experienced no issues on their Pixel 6 phones.

I'm in -- ordered my Pixel 6 Pro (Stormy Black, Verizon) this morning from Best Buy, for delivery on Friday. After discovering last night that they finally dropped the price on the 256GB model by $200, I couldn't resist. It's difficult to part with my Pixel 5 -- a flawlessly functioning phone that I have dearly loved, and will now pass along to my wife -- but a 20% discount on an already reasonably priced device was simply too tempting. Not being a power user or high-tech enthusiast, I've been very pleased with the service I've experienced from my Pixel 2XL and Pixel 5, so I feel optimistic that I'm less likely to encounter the problems some posters here have reported. In any event, I have a 30-day return period if any issues arise early on.

As one who has been following the discourse on these message boards since I acquired my first Pixel five years ago, I appreciate the beneficial information that others have posted -- both negative and positive. It's understandable that those who have reasons for dissatisfaction with the product tend to be the loudest and most persistent voices; but there is also much being shared here by more knowledgeable users in the way of helpful hints, recommendations, and observations that enable the less savvy among us to enjoy an improved user experience. To all who contribute, I offer my thanks. And I'll report back on how the Pixel 6 Pro works out for me.

Excellent! Welcome aboard! I was one of those that watched, read, debating if I should get the pixel 6 Pro and I am nothing but happy. There's a few things that I miss from the OnePlus 7 Pro but in the overall experience the pixel still wins.

OMGOSH there's a discount now?! I wish I hadn't seen that little tidbit of news! 🤣 Congratulations on your Stormy Black Pixel 6 Pro! Let us know how you like it! I am interested in hearing your experience as I too have a Pixel 5 that I love; but I am contemplating upgrading to the Pixel 7 or Pixel 6 (depending on Pixel 7's screen and specs).

I very much agree with your statement regarding the Pixel experience, and I am glad that you have found the forums to be a useful and beneficial place!

Thanks! I picked up my Pixel 6 Pro at Best Buy this afternoon and had them handle the set up and transfer of data from my Pixel 5. (I always ask them to open the box and complete that process while I wait so that I can be sure the phone is free of apparent defects and functioning properly before I exit the store.) The transition went smoothly -- I was surprised that the transfer was so thorough that I didn't even need to sign into my Google account -- and so far the new P6P seems to be working just as flawlessly as the old P5. The larger dimensions are going to require some period of adjustment, but I'm looking forward to exploring, and exploiting, the features of the P6P that were not available on the P5. I'll report back if I encounter any issues, because I know that others who frequent this forum might consider making the jump now that the price has been discounted.
