So has the MR5 OTA Fixed the No Audio on Calls Issue?

Post your response on your experience so far here...

By the way I am still experience audio dropout (which is frustrating) but not total audio silence as before the OTA.

Update: It's been 5 days for me since I updated (via XDA posted software) and the drop out I was experiencing are almost 100% gone. Doing a battery pull seemed to "stabilize" the update for me and calls have been mostly excellent since! :)

everything seems to be working fine for me. Over 24 hours of not needing to restart my phone and it feels so good.

I had my photon for 3 days before the update. I had the audio issue happen twice in that that time. I've had it 4days since and not had it happen at all. Seems to me like its fixed.

Yes. You know what they say, bad news travels gadgetry than good news. No complaints must mean it was great update!

I just updated it, but I got the 45.2.5.MB855. I went into the "About Phone" and updated it from there. I don't remember it ever sending me anything that there is an update available. Is there any way to get a message to contact me when it is?

Well, one data point: Every other time I have left the phone alone overnight, and then tried to use it in the morning, I had the "no sound" problem. This morning, post update, it worked fine. Looking good so far.

I've never noticed the proximity issue, before or after the update.

I had the silent call issue sporadically before the update and since the update no more issues. it even fixed this quirk with turning on wifi and having 4G on at the same time.

For those of you with the proximity issue problems, do you have the 'pocket sensor' on? I noticed when I turned that off, all my problems with the proximity sensor went away.

It fixed it for me. Happened every day before. Applied the update, hasn't had an issue since.

I got tired of waiting so did a manual install following the info on one of the Photon forums. I found it removed a few apps, but I did a reload and battery pull. I have had plenty of calls, both on the road and in my office using the Airave. I have had NO sound issues on phone calls.. I have heard that if you do, press the mute button as sometimes it gets flipped status. Then power down the phone and that should reset it in the right mode.
