Ever since the update i've started getting terrible battery life...overnight and hardly any use I go from 100% to 70%-ish. I used to just lose about 10% of battery life before. Also I noticed that you can't stop the keyboard sound effects unless you turn your ringer off. So just curious, anyone else planning on factory resetting because of these issues?

Factory reset does not take your back to a different version os. It reset all settings and deltes all apps. Badically the way a phone would come clean from the factory out of the box. But you will still have 4.1.2. You most likely have an app draining your battery more than it did with 4.1.1. I have read that alot of times issues can be solved with a reset.

I did it. A little more than factory reset, I rooted and reverted to the stock 4.1.1 build.

You can turn off sound on the samsung keyboard with 4.1.2 by going into keyboard settings then advanced

I cant find that option..I went to settings> sound and turned off all the sounds for buttons and I still have sound :/. On the plus side...for some reason my phone is working right again and battery is good again :]

Are you looking in the phone settings or the keyboard settings? You should be able to turn off keyboard sounds by going to the advanced tab in the Samsung keyboard settings.

Yeah, this works, but the fact that the setting exists in two places is pretty lame.

Not really. Settings for most functions are located in the function or app themselves in Android devices. I personally find this extremely convenient since I know exactly where I need to go in order to make an adjustment.
