So i bought an iphone 8 plus

Thats how i felt-getting a little bored, wanting something new to play with . But theres nothing to play with on the 8 Plus. The camera is very nice but the Note's has more modes and options.

I forgot the lack of a "back" button too. I got so used to it with the Note-its super convenient to know i can always hit bottom right to go back. With the iphone it depends which app youre in-sometimes its on top, sometimes its on bottom.. its just annoying having to hunt for it.

i think if i ever get the itch again i'll try the Pixel or something, but fornow I've realized the Note's where its at.

Astute comment that there's nothing to play with the iPhone. That's why I am Android forever.

I own both the X and the note 8 with the note being my go to device or daily driver. Apple devices have things that android doesn’t and visa versa. The X is probably the perfect size device for me but the note has more functionality then the X does.
Glad I'm not alone. I switch back and forth. Variety is (expensive) fun.

Everyone has different priorities. I couldn’t care less about customization, but value security and updates. That’s why I’ll always use an iPhone as my daily driver.

Well, the Notes do have styluses, card slots, and headphone jacks. Something an iPhone user will probably never see in a lifetime! 🤣

Glad you got a new note 8 as regards to both the note 8 and IPhone 8 plus, they are so different. My wife has the 8 plus and the only thing I like about it is the camera. The note 8 just has it all IMO.

Same here! I use the X for business and Note for fun

s6, 7 edge to S8.. then added 8 plus. Im using the 8plus now for daily. Battery management is what kept me. Before hitting bed 100%, wake up at 7, still at 100. I dont have to install extra apps just to keep other power hungry/rogue app in check.
Few things though, notification system is annoying, 8plus is heavier, no customization.
Upside for me is battery, interestingly LED screen is easier to my aging eyes, facetime, Wells Fargo takes Touch ID.

iOS Notifications still bother me - this is one area where Android is clearly superior.

Notes forever. Besides, I hear that the people who work at crApple keep walking into walls..

That is one of the strangest things. The designs of the glass in their stores are such that it is very easy to walk into a glass wall with some of them. So they took that genius idea and implemented it on campus too.

Lol! But this is the very definition of how Apple operate every since the iPod. Design over Function is what they go by, this is why I hate how some brands blindly copy EVERY SINGLE move Apple make e.g. Removing the Headphone Jack, putting the Notch in the Display etc....

Apple will sacrifice anything just so that something looks good, it's idiocracy at its absolute finest and people eat up like there's no tomorrow.

One of my biggest problems with the Industry today is the whole usage of Glass Sandwich design, that Apple brought in with the iPhone 4; it looks great, and Samsung have gone the extra mile of curving it, but what a nightmare it has become to keep a phone looking good without a plastic case, removing the whole point of a quality feeling device.

Well said!

I got the note 8 for the camera over the 8+. If it does well in low light for U2, I'll be happy. The multi Bluetooth feature of the S9 is interesting, though. Coming from an S4, I couldn't be happier!

What Multi Bluetooth Feature in the S9? The Note8 allows connecting multiple devices to its BT to.

This is a feature of BT 5.0 -- not a Samsung thing. The Note 8 can / the S9 will without issue.

Actually as far as I know Android Nougat didn't support BT5.0 and Samsung did have to do their own implementation in the Note8, but yes, the S9 is probably using Google implementation in Android Oreo.

Might be true -- But it still is a Bluetooth thing not a Samsung thing. As in Samsung modifying software to work on the older OS doesn't make it theirs ;)... It just makes it work with their phone.

Totally understand, they had the hardware, and had to manipulate the software to do it. On a software level it's them who bridged the gap, at least in the Note8, as the hardware is there.

In the S9 is all fully supported so I'm sure they didn't even have to do much except add whatever else they wanted on top.

I am using my Note 4 now. Missing the days where batteries can be instantly changed, and IR blaster.
Just being sentimental here. Carry on...
