wow.. people have serious issues.
Verizon never announced a date.. its absolutely pathetic that some people are still whining like they can hold a delay over Verizons head simply because of leaked rumors and forum whining.
The reason they dont announce a date, is exactly so you people cant cry about them delaying it if they dont have it ready for that date. Yet here we are with no announced release date and more whining then has probably ever been laid down on these forums.
Internal delays, plans, roadmaps etc change on every phone, many times.. noone has ever said that bugs, politics, or other phones on the market arent possibly postponing the announcement of the Nexus or causing Verizon to make their plans for it a little later then they once had planned, but that has absolutely nothing to do with people crying that Verizon delayed the phone.. they said it will be out in 2011.. it still 2011.. a bunch of impatient whining forum users who have whipped themselves into a frenzy for a nice phone but extremely overhyped phone tweetbombing, emailing execs, etc isnt going to force a billion dollar company to change its plans. Infact Im happy they arent bending to the will of impatient whiners.. they are running a business.. I assume most of us are adults in here.. stop acting like little kids who only care about one thing.
Its pretty sad that because so many people have whined on here about a delay, and have been pointed out to the fact that "seriously bro, you cant whine if they havent even given you a release date.. thats why they are so quiet about it.." that they are clinging on to the fact that best buy had an article showing a "nexus prime" for sale possibly as early as black friday as that they have a valid claim that they were done wrong and their delay whines were acceptable.
Since when have internet rumors (EVERY SOURCE HAS BEEN WRONG, EVEN PANDA) given you the right to cry about a delay?
ET: Personally, I fall into the first category, as I feel companies are manipulating you, and public opinion, by resetting what our expectations SHOULD be. Consumers should expect a good company to have a release soon after public announcement.
wow.... Verizon didnt announce the phone.. it was announced internationally by Google and Samsung.. Verizon had ZILCH to do with it. The phone just released a week ago internationally.. and it will be out extremely soon from Verizon. But how come Google and Samsung announcing an international phone, has anything to do with Verizon announcing a phone?
They came out afterwards, and let it be known the Nexus was coming to Verizon, and we would see it by the end of the year... they specifically give themselves these windows so people dont get expectations that Verizon doesnt intend to fill.. yet here we are giving them crap for not making these "expectations" that we based on assumptions, leaks, and rumors.. nothing official whatsoever.
jeez.. for all the shady stuff corporations do.. its funny to see one getting so much negativity for doing NOTHING WRONG.
