So finally starting the long process of setting up my new phone I notice the Samsung Email App is no longer loaded on the phone?? Seriously surprised at this. App search on phone came up with nothing.

I liked their email app on my Note 8 cause it was simple like Apples email app, liked the look and layout, and switched between multiple accounts just fine. So what email app is their choice??

This is an N20U ordered through AT&T if that makes a difference.

Seems Gmail is the only mail app installed.

Other thing I noticed that was odd is that Chrome was the default browser docked on home screen and not the Samsung Internet Browser they have. I personally like the Samsung Browser over Chrome on mobile.

If they went this far with email and browser, I’m surprised the messaging wasn’t Googles docked on the home screen.

What is everyone’s choice of email app then??

You should be able to download the app from the galaxy store. That's what I had to do on my note 10. They didn't preload it then either.

Not sure if it was added by Smart Switch from my Note 8 but it's on my unlocked Note 20 Ultra.

It wasn't preloaded on my unlocked N20U, or my unlocked N10+ before that. Perhaps they found that few people used it. In any event, it's still available on the Galaxy Store.

I use Gmail.

Protonmail (personal)
Outlook (personal)
Gmail (personal)
Nine (work)

I hate switching accounts in mail apps, so I have multiple. The Outlook and Gmail are old accounts that I still get some things through once in a while so I keep them, but Protonmail is my primary and Nine for work.

I noticed this, too. I also got the new watch and was forced to use the Outlook app there which meant I had to set that up on my phone. I'm in the camp of liking the old Samsung app. It was simple and easy to use.

It can be downloaded from the Play Store.

Mine was downloaded using Smart Switch.

I'm a Gmail user but prefer Samsung's email app. I just need my emails delivered...I don't need all that extra fluff that comes with Gmail's app.

I found that for my phone. I was happy to have the simple email back, but I can't get it back for the watch. And the watch forced me to use Outlook (or at least set it up). There were other 3rd party apps out there, but the built in email for the watch was outlook and that required Outlook to be set up on the phone.

A minor thing, but one of my favorite watch faces had a shortcut for email. It no longer works, either. I imagine it's trying to point to the email app on the watch and hasn't been updated to point at Outlook.

I primarily use Outlook & it works fine. I never was able to get the Samsung email app to work properly.

I noticed that the Samsung Email wasn't on the phone automatically but I downloaded it and easily added my comcast email. I use that in addition to gmail. Everything looked the same and worked the same. I am a creature of habit so I am glad it's still available.

Mine was pre-installed, possible I'd you set up like factory reset didn't include it .

Hmm... I did do a factory reset at first boot up. I go through a custom of factory resetting a new device at the start before setting up and guess that could have done it. Habit of days working with new products and seeing how often pre-loaded sw could be buggy out of the box so I wipe all my machines first boot... PCs and phones. :p

But the one or two times I've factory reset my Note 8, I've never had a basic app like that missing. Odd their sw is set up that way. Oh well.

Thanks all for their inputs, where to find it and alternative people use. I actually like using one app to switch accounts and gotten use to Samsungs mail app with the Note so I'll probably go with it. I see I can download it from Samsung or Google Play. Any difference? Does one get updated versions faster than other or same?

When you factory reset towards the end where you opt in to samsung account it will ask you want those apps downloaded if you ignore it it won't install.

I use the samsung email app also , love it .
Can download from play store or galaxy store no difference.

I use MS Outlook due to integration with Ms word and xcell. Super easy to setup email as well.

Welcome to the new world where Samsung js pushing thier partners apps over thier own. I am glad you were able to download Samsung Email app. It is a nice simple app.

The Samsung Email app for the Galaxy Watch is in the Galaxy Store.

I tried Outlook for a while, but prefer Samsung Email.
