I never tried glasses protectors till I read here how a lot of you like them. I love how they look and the smoothness. But after 5 failed attempts with halos from top bottom to sides...I just don't know what to do. I tried ones suggested, v10 ones, v20 ones..EVERY ONE LEAVES A [insert swear words] HOLO!

I am thinking of maybe going back to film?

How it's everyone else making out with this and what are you using?

Thanks

5 failed? Save your time and move to plastic. By the time you keep trying, new phone will be out. Lol.

This remind me of my samsung 7 edge and Note 7.

Wet install protectors work well too. I finally decided to just get a couple IQ Shields and I'm rather happy. Complete coverage, touch response isn't affected, no bubbles or peeling with my cases, and looks good. I have a couple SuperShieldz TGSPs on the shelf but there's just no reason to remove the IQ Shields.

There's another thread about this, get the Zizo protector. It has it's flaws like the oily looking rainbow effect in the middle of it that you see when the screen is off, and it smudges more than any screen protector I've seen, but it has full coverage with no halo. It's far from perfect, but it's the best we got at the moment. Damn curved screens.

Thanks all...

I'll look into those.

Tempted not to use any but I'm afraid... Lol

Edit:
I see the zizo protector is $10.

Doesn't the case come with a screen protector and it's like $17?

I swear by my Spigen tempered glass. Granted it doesn't cover the very top or very bottom since the screen starts to curve, but no halos, perfect slip and two in a pack!

I hate screen protectors. Not only are they not needed, but they make the screen have too much grip making it awkward to swipe. I like it smooth and slippery as warm butter!

Ewwwww! I hope my phone never feels like warm butter

I'm using a wet applied film protector, IQ Shield matte full coverage anti-glare screen protector. My screen is still as smooth as butter and the matte film is great at reducing screen glare, I like it and I don't usually put a screen protector on my phones.

I'm really thinking of dumping the screen protectors all together?

I can't see spending a lot on a screen protector to start with. I don't mind a few bucks but a lot of them are waaaaaaaaay overpriced.

If you get a scratch how are you going to feel? If you're not going to mind don't worry about a screen protector.

I've got one that is perfect, no halo. It was $40 though. I got 20% off but still very $. If you are interested let me know. I will post pic of box later. I posted pics of it on my phone on earlier thread here about screen protectors

Thanks, but I just can't spend that much. But glad you got one that works out!

I am having issues with this as well. You have to buy a glass screen protector that is smaller than the screen itself. The 2nd screen on my phone is curved and not flat, therefore causing a halo effect halfway on the 2nd screen.
