I am having a bit of a hard time understanding on what frequencies the Developer edition will work on. I've read that it won't work on t-mobiles hspa+ network but it will work on their 2g/3g and 4GLTE network, but then I have also read that it will work on hspa+ if you are in a covered area? someone please help me understand correctly?

Will work on HSPA+ but does not have T Mobiles 1700 band. If you live in an area that T mobile has moved to the 1900 band then you will be OK.

you guys are awesome! thanks, so I will be ok with the LTE when t-mobile turns it on in NYC also?

You might have to ask someone from T-Mobile about this or read up on what bands the Developer edition supports, but from the looks of it no. It will only run on AT&T's LTE and with 3G speeds as the highest on T-Mobile. The phone would have to support AWS bands to run on T-Mobile's LTE. T-Mobile is getting basically the same version of the iPhone as AT&T but Apple has to tweak the bands of the phone to support AWS and apparently Apple can't enable AWS through a software update. So I'd imagine the same goes for HTC.

well according to the official HTC specs of the phone the bands that it will support are these:

Multiple frequency compatibility:

HSPA/WCDMA: 850/1900/2100 MHz
GSM/GPRS/EDGE: 850/900/1800/1900 MHz
LTE: 700/850/AWS/1900 MHz (US)
(sorry for bothering you guys with this, i'm not that knowledgeable on this radio band/frequency stuff, I really do appreciate it.) It does mention AWS so does that mean I should be in the clear?

I hadn't seen any official frequencies and PCMag says it will only get 3G in some areas in all the other areas 2G, but maybe PCMag doesn't have their stuff together. I'd still call T-Mobile and ask them about it, but it looks like you're in the clear.

EDIT: GSM Arena, Phonearena, and Android Central don't mention AWS compatibility in their spec sheets. Where did you get that from?

I got those specs from the official HTC announcement of the device on their site, they mention AWS on it so if i'm seeing right than all should be well. thanks again Suda and everyone else for helping me with this.
