On the evo all the lights are hidden either in the speaker screen or under black plastic. The only thing looks like that is the camera. Just saying.

Yea a mini touchpad could work well but if they dont give us settings to adjust the sensativity it could really suck. Also anyone with sausage fingers wouldnt be able to use it or the keyboard lol.

I'm not sure the specifics of it, but I know in all the speed test its much faster than the 1st gen. Its differently designed so evnthough it was unclocked its still faster

1 thing that I notice different from the Merge and Shift is the speaker grill is much larger like on the Evo, so they may well have placed the notification LED's behind the grill, and that very may well be a FFC. Of course I hope so as the wife is eyeing up this phone...

Look at it is peddling a bike. One bike with tall wheels and another with smaller wheels. Let's also say everything else is equal.

If you peddle 800 revs on the bike with the taller wheels, you'll go further. If you're peddling at the same speed as the one with smaller wheels, you'll go faster. Get my drift?

Another way to look at it is using a car versus a truck. Let's say you have 100 packages to deliver and the car can carry 20 packages at a time where the truck can carry 50 packages, but is slower. Unless the car was super duper fast compared to the truck, the truck will get the packages moved sooner then the car because it carries a larger load per trip.

You see, a slower speed doesn't mean it does less work, if at the slower speed, it can do more.

I don't see why they would go back on not having FCC. All new phones should have it. They should be working on how to make the FCC better. Honestly maybe a mini flash would do it up front. If with the Evo they've found a way to clean up the image of the phone and put the LED inside the grill they would most likely do the same with the Shift and future phones leaving that open space for FCC.
