So what does every think about the Galaxy Pro S coming to Sprint?

If you really wanted a physical keyboard why not get the Moment or wait for the Moment 2? I honestly don't care for physical kb's anymore and the EVO's kb is far better than what the HERO had. Though i'll admit it's not an iPhone kb.

The galaxy also has an on screen keyboard and the physical keyboard is great especially when chatting or even games. On screen keyboard take up too much screen real estate.

For a phone that supports xvids and has a crystal clear screen I wouldn't mind the extra fee. Hopefully it doesn't cost more and I hope it comes out soon so I can use my upgrade.

I bet any announcements will be just past the 30 day exchange period for the Evo if you bought on launch day. This is really odd timing, Sprint will have two "hero phones"? Then again, looks like Verizon is doing the same thing with the Incredible and the Droid X.

Why would any phone company release all their big phones within a couple week span? Thats not how businesses work. And Sprint will be releasing more 4G Android Phones as the year goes on. And the Incredible has nothing to do with the Droid X and 2. It's just how things work with phones. If you are always worrying bout whats coming out next, you'll never appreciate what you've got.

The Galaxy S Pro is going to rescue my wife from getting the Samsung Moment. She refuses to use a phone without a hardware keyboard after she had the Instinct.

I will stick with my Evo. Since I did the battery tips I am getting good battery life and the phone kicks arse so I am VERY happy with it. the screen in this Evo is FANTASTIC!!!!!

I'm excited for it personally. I like having a physical keyboard so I'm gonna at least check it out.

lol it was ment to be after Moto Blur, but nobody cares that much. I just think a bunch of people will choose that ****ty version of Android over then the Sense UI cause of a keyboard. I wouldn't even touch the Android phones if it wasn't for Sense to make things much more effective. Half the widgets and icons is built in to the OS without going through the trail and error with alot of apps in the Market.

What are you talking about?? Samsung UI on Galaxy looks way better than HTC Sense. You dont have to stick with a fixed number of home screens (7 in case of Sense, whereas you can add/remove them on fly on TouchWiz 3 and upto 9 if I remember it right). Application Menu is horizontally scrollable (Personally I love it, but others may prefer vertical scrolling one). I love the idea of a fixed bar of icons at the bottom accessible on one tap regardless of the home screen displayed. I didn't like previous versions of TouchWiz UI, but 3.0 for Android looks promising. Yes, I like widgets that HTC has made for sense, but Samsung has some of its own that can do things same or near same if not better. If you still dont like their UI, turn it off and go to vanilla android.

Am I the only one that thought the EVO screen was on the cheap side? Yes it is huge but very low color quality. I have noticed color banding and some very poor washed out colors on it. Especially when I look at my Palm Pre then look at the EVO. I cannot believe they used such a huge screen and only made it 16bit.

Only problem with that is the "hacker" community doesn't seem to support Samsung phones nearly as much as HTC devices. Look at the Moment vs Hero. Also Samsung support for past phones has not been great. Reports are saying this thing will ship with 2.1, and God only knows how many upgrades will be skipped by Samsung. These are the only things really holding me back from getting this over the Evo.

I hate touch wiz but I am getting this phone. Touch wiz only really changes the launcher so I'm gonna get adw and then I will have a great super AMOLED 4 inch screen with a keyvoard and a better camera then the evo. And yes the momment had like no hacking but this phone could change that

Well another 4G Android option makes me happy to be on Sprint. Now I have more time to consider another option for when my upgrade comes up. It'd be great if another 4G Android phone is announced or revealed between now and whenever the Galaxy S-P gets released.

I guess we should expect the $10 data rich premium experience on this puppy.
I think that would be a safe bet. I am not really crazy about paying and extra $20 a month for my wife and I, but at least that includes unlimited data and lower ETFs than AT&T and Verizon. I not saying that it is OK, but it is a better deal than the rest.

Does anyone know how thick this phone will actually be? The keyboard will be nice, but it will not be a deciding factor for me. I would be happy with a thinner phone, but the built in 8GB storage and the screen (better color and lower energy consumption) make this phone sound pretty good to me.

from the pictures it looks like a little thinner then the palm pre

....that is until you see the Galaxy S Pro's Super AMOLED screen and you will **** your pants. :)

Mark my word. :)

I'm excited that this phone is coming to Sprint. I'm hoping the keyboard doesn't make this phone a brick. I'd like to ditch my Hero and for this but I need more specs.

Super excited for this phone! I think this is it for me. I've decided against the Evo (though, tempted by the white one for a little bit) as it has a better cpu/gpu, better screen, and I prefer hardware keyboards over virtual ones. I happen to think touchwiz looks fairly decent nowadays! The past two really sucked but this is a huge improvement. If Samsung doesn't support their flagship phone for some reason, which I doubt, there's still rooting and modding to look to. Front facing cams are the thing now, so it's good to see it here. Soooo, if Palm doesn't announce anything compelling by July sometime I'll wind up with this baby.
