So, what HAS to returned when getting a new phone??

So, quick question for the folks who have returned a TB by mail... My new phone should be here tomorrow and I was wondering what HAS to be returned beside the phone, obviously, and battery. Do you have to return the charger, SD card, and so on? Mind you, this is a brand new replacement, so it should come pre-packaged with all the stuff...

So, just curous what anyone elses experience was with returning a phone, to make sure you get credited back the cost of the phone.

Everything that came with the phone should be returned. Now if you are getting a replacement, it should be fine to swap SD cards so you can still have your data. They won't know that SD was in the other phone. Same thing with the charger. But if you are thinking about keeping the SD card and charger in addition to the replacement, then you are on your own with that

On GPs, I'd say return everything. EXCEPT the SIM. You'll need the SIM and I don't think your replacement phone will come with it.

I'm sure swapping the SD card to preserve any of your data would be fine, though.

Some who have not returned all items were able to keep them, others were not so lucky and were charged on their bill for the items they did not return, it's a 50/50 chance.

When i returned my blackberry a while ago i swapped the 16gb card for my old 2gb card. Then got the new phone and had an extra 16gb card. lol Verizon never said anything.

There is only one SD card. You must be talking about the SIM, which you have to keep.

Yeah. Knew I had to keep the old sim... But I got a 32g SD card when I first bought the phone. They are sending me a new phone which in turn should have another 32g SD card in it. Swap out the 32g for my old 8g from my BB before i send the defective phone back, and have myself two 32g SD card's...

I hate to be blunt but Lying, cheating and stealing is just that. Integrity or theft is defined by what you do when no one is looking. Sorry to all of you that want free stuff at some other persons expense.

Thank you, I was about to say something similar. We're talking about stealing here everybody and in the long run we all pay for it when people do that with higher prices or phones that no longer come with extra accessories like they used to.
