They are doing the early shipping label creation so people can't cancel order easily, lol.
Naw, not really. Logistically speaking, they've got tens of thousands of orders to process. Not just phones either, but all the extras that were ordered. They can't wait to the day that samsung allows them to ship to process them all. They'll pick and pack your order, create and label it, then set it on a pallet.

I also ordered accessories but I only have one tracking number.

Maybe if we compared stated weights, then we might be able to tell who is getting extras in their packages.

even though i already have a tracking number via UPS' site, my "cancel" button is still there(!) on samsung.com's order history!

very strange. that means the theory that they're hurrying the assignment of tracking numbers equals them NOT wanting us to cancel is wrong.

Same. But in the past, I've actually had my phone in hand and the Samsung site still was telling me it was "in process" and hadn't been delivered!

that's true!

i remember situations like that as well.

after receiving the phone and holding the phone, i was closing the tab for samsung.com and i noticed that it still said it hasn't been delivered or still in process or something like that! very odd and antiquated website samsung has!

I have officially joined the label created club

According to Samsung, the order can still be cancelled, but as others have already mentioned, Samsung is typically two steps behind

Using the UPS app and paying for the premium service is money well spent when dealing with Samsung

Samsung.com still has cancellation button, check UPS and yes, a shipper has been made but nothing to ship.
As to when it arrives, who knows?

May i ask what you meant by:

"Using the UPS app and paying for the premium service is money well spent when dealing with Samsung"

Thanks.

What premium service please? On Samsung's site, there was no upgrade option for faster shipping.

UPS offers a premium service for approx. $20 a year. Not sure how it will help so I never opted for the service. Besides, I do not receive that many UPS packages. Would love to know why it would help with Samsung, myself.

Can't wait for it to arrive.

Why can't they learn from Apple's marketing savvy where once they finish their live intro event for new hardware, you can go to an Apple store and buy the device immediately?

If it works so well for Apple, learn from them!

We now have 2 weeks of torture, checking UPS tracking, wasted energy.

Yes, it appears to work for Apple; that is for those who have access to an Apple store. They are far from being in every city.

And it would be great for those who live near a Samsung store and might help them lower their BP and harm from the torture.:)

However, best to sit back, chill out and realize it is just a smart phone, ordered and we want as soon as possible; however, most of us know it takes weeks. And until it arrives, we get to continue to relish enjoyment of our existing Samsung phone.(y)

Agree checking UPS is a waste of time and energy, but I was curious and most likely will not check again since they are pretty good informing me of when it is shipped. Honestly, would be amazed if it happens before Feb 5.

It's the premium service with UPS. I think it's called MyChoice or something like that.

It gives you the ability to choose delivery time windows, you can tell them to drop off at a UPS store, more comprehensive tracking details, etc.

You can sign up for free just to track packages in the app.

But for $20 a year you can upgrade packages to ground for free. Won't help for Samsung but it does help me for online shopping.

As I didn't ship to my house this time I am not sure if I have a label or not, but I still have the cancel button

Hi Mav,

i see that you're an optimist! Haha.

i hope that our friendly optimistic long time forum participant here (you!) will be correct!

i just can't wait. this is so so silly. if Apple can have their phones ready to sell immediately after their live presentation, then Samsung can as well and should!

this stupid 2-week waiting is just decreasing their customers' enthusiasm and cause frustration and stomach acid.
