So why no High-End phones being announced from VZW?

So the current phones verizon has can't do the exact same things that these "better phones" on other networks can do? What exactly other than maybe gaming can these other phones do better than the phones currently on verizon? load web pages faster? doubt it especially with lte, maybe is .0005 sec quicker when opening an app? To me it seems like unless you have something to come back with that the current phones can't do you just are ing. Plus you said at&t has better phones yet you won't switch just come on here and complain??? SO what can't verizon's "lackluster, pitiful" phones do?

If you would stop personally attacking people on this forum and actually read the posts they have made that you replied in, you would have read where I said I am still on contract with Verizon. I did switch to at&t but had to cancel because I suddenly couldn't afford the two bills. I also said that in about a year (after my wife's Verizon contract is up) I am 95% sure I will switch. But instead of reading what I have posted (not just this thread but several other threads as well), you prefer to personally attack when my comments have been TOPIC related and never personally disparaging to another poster on this forum. Once again, I am refering to several threads where you have done this. You are the first on this forum to actually be rude, disrespectful, and just plain ugly in your demeanor and tackless postings to me.

Actually I asked what the phones on verizon can't do. You getting worked up thinking people are "attacking you" when it really isn't. Like in my post what can't verizon's phones do that at&t ones can?????

You said you need larger higher res screens and there are multiple 4.3+ phones on verizon. Once again anything else you would like to deflect?

I'm going to assume this problem has resolved itself. But for the future: enough with the fighting/unproductive arguing. I'll be sure to keep a look out for those "other threads" that were mentioned.

I hope you find the device that suits your needs and desires on Verizon. I have been waiting for a year to upgrade. And if I stick with Verizon, seems like my total wait time will be about 1 1/2 years since my upgrade went live.
I do not travel. The area I live in has BETTER coverage with AT&T and I know I am in the minority on this forum. But that doesn't change the fact that Verizon's network (for me) is second rate to AT&T. The sad part is, it use to always NEVER be like this.
Verizon's customer service has not been bad, but not good. I have to drive an hour to get to their closest corporate store for assistance. I have always felt like just a number and a $ (dollar sign) to them. When I briefly switched to AT&T for the Note, they let me have it for $150 and threw in the Microcell tower for $50. I saved $300 on those two purchases alone. Verizon has NEVER offered me a deal or a discount other than the contractual ones I have agreed to and I have been with them for over 12 years.
Am I a Verizon "hater?" not exactly, but I sure am not in love with them anymore.
Also, there is state funding coming to my area for 4G network expansion... guess which network gets the funds in my area? The one who owns the physical towers.... AT&T. My area will not have 4G with Verizon (if ever) for well past their self imposed 2013-14 deadline.

Then go - it looks like you can't beat the One X. If you want WP7 the Lumia 900 with LTE looks great. What are you waiting for.

Because my wife still has a year left on her Verizon contract. Something came up and I couldn't afford the two bills I had when I briefly had the Note on AT&T, so I had to cancel with AT&T. I am holding out little hope that Verizon would come through for a change with a phone like the Note or OneX or maybe the SGSIII. But I am afraid it is a pipe dream.

What good is a high end phone if you dont have the power to use it. I am on a droid bionic but i dont have 4g or wont be getting in my area for 2yrs. So when 4g goes down (alot) im stuck. Even in my 3g area. This is crap. So now vzn is getting rid of 3g phones. Time to switch?

Since you are in a 3g only area if you put it on 3g only it won't go down when lte goes down.

No it does still. Ive complained to vzn and they are working on the issue . So that means next phone they will fix it.

And just because you've been with a carrier for so long doesn't mean they have to give you a deal out of nowhere.

Then you don't have it set to cdma only. If you have it set to cdma/lte then yes it will go down when lte is down but setting it to cdma only wont go down when lte does.

Yep. My phone is still usable on 3G when LTE goes down, IF I set it to CDMA-only.
