Social networking and syncing contacts

Since I'm on the new GB build it have heard awesome thing about the new social networking app but every time I add an account it always syncs my contacts and there is nothing more I hate than that since it adds a bunch of doubles etc.

Is there any way to use the moto social networking widget without it syncing my contacts??

Just purchased a Motorola Atrix and I'm having the same issue with MotoBlur. Cant find an area to set it to where the phone will only sync the feeds and not the contacts. Would appreciate any tips or directions.
