Software update info page is up... OTA right around the corner?

Here's what the .pdf says is in the update:

+ Enhanced data connectivity when accessing the Verizon 3G network.
Email and Messaging
+ SMS and MMS messages are stored properly in the Messaging
Application (Inbox, Sent, etc.).
Additional Device Features
+ Timing for device activation has been improved.
+ “Backup Assistant” is correctly displayed in the Application menu.

Good thing they're doing something about the battery with this update like they said they would....

Disclaimer: They still could be doing that, I just don't see anything directly related to it there.
Also, I got an extended battery so my tbolt is officially amazing.

From the numbers on it, it is the exact same build as the leaked one.

If this is the same exact thing as the leak, expect THOUSANDS of phones to start rebooting randomly
That is all.

so if we do this update will it unroot our phones?

Yes, and you can already flash this. It's garbage for about 50% of people who have tried it.

Random reboots for everyone, seriously if its the same version. It's going to be an EPIC FAIL.

Do you know how many incompetent people who got their hands on a Tbolt will be calling VZW and complaining? lol

I found this statement from the "Instructions" page to be interesting.

Frank, I saw the same thing. I am not touching that at the moment! Hey, I have been having connection problems still in Golden, I see you are in Denver. Any problems with you? Sometimes I have full signal with no 1X, 3G or 4G in front.

This is typical of some of the problems a lot of folks have been experiencing up to now. It could be that they havn't yet made any changes to the Golden towers, I don't know. I've have found that situation easy to deal with by simply turning off 4G however (i.e. *#*#4636#*#* | Phone Information | Preferred Network type - set CDMA auto (PRL), then ReturnArrow all the way back out).

I think (hope?) the real "fix" is gonna be a combination of VZW fixing the Tower's 4G and the Software upgrade (firmware OTA upgrade) coming shortly.
