Software version info scrolling on screen

My GT-N8000 has the Android version info scrolling on the screen constantly, even when apps are running. I have no idea what is going on.
Does anyone have any ideas?

Welcome to Android Central! Do you mean that there's lots of tiny text that looks like code scrolling in the background? If so, go to Settings>Developer Options, and make sure nothing there is turned on.
