Solid black background with blinking screen

This past weekend for the second time since I've had this G4 I had a problem with it not wanting to wake up. Tapped the screen and what I got was a solid black wallpaper with all of my icons on the screen but it would flash the default wallpaper every couple of seconds. The phone would not respond to any touch at all.

I tried holding in the back power button to get the power off and restart screen to come up but since the phone wasn't responding to touch it either wouldn't do anything or it would disappear every time the phone blinked. Finally after several minutes I was able to time it just right and the phone powered off and restarted. Once it did that it's been ok ever since. But this is the second time I've seen this issue in the last couple of months. The first time it didn't take very long to get the power off and restart to respond but this time it did.

I was just wondering if anyone else has ran into this issue before?

I'm sorry, I keep forgetting to note that. I'm on Marshmallow.

There are lots of people having trouble with marshmallow you can try downgrading back to lollipop with the LG up program that might fix your issue
