SOLUTION: No data problem

Yeah I'm not understanding that either. I got that weather city location craziness as well. SpeedTest app shows Washington DC as 20 miles away when it's more like 800 miles. I'm sure the IP/location lookup is incorrect or something. Guess no one has ideas.

What exactly did it fix for you? 3G with no data or my issue (bouncing 1x 3g 4g dropouts).

Same issue here. Just did the pound puund and will see how it goes.

Does anyone know what reprovisioning the sim entails?

In this context (of improving data switching reliability) I can offer a guess. It is said that the main reason this setting (eliminating eHRPD) works, is in cases where eHRPD either is down or not supported by the tower. It is also said that when your SIM is provisioned is when it queries the network at the current location to determine if it being served by an eHRPD system, or not, and provisions accordingly. So, it could make sense that re-provisioning the SIM, potentially, could "cure" a switching issue. However, it sounds much more likely to me that simply changing this setting manually is just as good and much easier. Just my opinion.

Made the change and not so much success here. Still switching from lte to no data.

Hey all I was having the same issue when I went from 3g to 4g I would loose data and calls, so I called VZW today and asked about provisioning the sin card and he didn't know what that was but he did say he could reset my signal when I got off the phone. I thought that it couldn't hurt and shut down my phone for a few minutes and then booted up.

I went from a 3g to 4G and there was no lag. It was nice. I am going to perform my final test tonight as I commute from a 4G area to a 3g but it is looking good so far. Call them and ask them to do this 4 u. Can't hurt and I really think t helped....see a little better battery too like a previous poster mentioned.

I'll give update later.....

We should ask the CS rep to "reset our signal"?

Yup those were the words he used and he was second tier support so get to one of those guys or gals. He said I can reset the signal on your sim card.....by there is often little consistency when it comes to support so I started off asking him to provision my card and at least got to him resetting my signal....worth a shot.

Success! Ok so I drive straight out of 4G and right into 3g. If I had blinked I woulda missed it. I was so excited that I didnt loose connection. Rock on!

Success! Thanks!

I've been aggravated all day because I had no data connectivity, despite excellent signal strength. Thanks for the fix!
