something weird happened today

went to the movies and shut my note 2. when movie was over i turned it back on and then put it in my pocket. when i got out to car, the phone was in safe mode. i rebooted the phone and it booted normal, however my default keyboard was set back to stock(which was an easy enough fix) and all my facebook birthdays were no longer in my calendar. any ideas what happened? how do i get those back? right now my calendar widget says no upcoming events. everything else seems to be working

got them back, just had to go into FB settings
